Public sector management professionals dedicated to the efficient
delivery of services to the citizens of the Commonwealth.
The
Certified Public Manager® (CPM) program began in Georgia in 1976 and was
soon endorsed by other states as a model for training and developing
professional public managers. The Kentucky CPM Program was first
established in 1985 through the Governmental Services Center (GSC) and
Kentucky State University (KSU). It continues to be administered today
by the Personnel Cabinet’s
Office for
Employee and Organizational
Development at KSU where managers from throughout state government are
trained.
